“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
Colossians 3:16
Hello! My name is Christa Petzold. I live with my husband Jonathan and our four kids in Antioch, IL. Jonathan is a Lutheran pastor (in the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod) and I am a second-generation homeschool mom.
I have a Master’s degree in Theology from Concordia University Irvine, and my Bachelor’s degree is in Mathematics and Lutheran Secondary Education from Concordia University Wisconsin. I am currently pursuing a PhD in History of Exegesis from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis. I am the author of Journey Through Church History, Gathered by Christ: The Overlooked Gift of Church, and co-author with my husband of Male and Female: Embracing Your Role in God’s Design, all available from Concordia Publishing House. I have also written the New Augsburg Trilogy, my first foray into fiction writing.
My passion is writing fiction and nonfiction that highlights the love Jesus has for His Bride, the Church. This website is a place where you can find information on my books, speaking events, theology classes for homeschool students, and other resources I’ve found helpful for living a life immersed in God’s Word.
